Emergency Call-Outs
Damp in a town this altered rarely points at its own cause. We trace methodically, in anything from a converted villa near the green to a workshop by the river, until the real leak is found rather than painted over.
A pipe that splits behind the boiler or under the floor. We shut off the water, cut out the damaged length and make it watertight.
Kitchen tap dry, upstairs taps out, or nothing anywhere: we quickly establish whether the trouble sits inside your pipework or with the supplier's main, then get every sound part of the system running again.
Gurgling, a bad smell or water rising in the shower tray means stop running water now. We clear the blockage and, more importantly, check the drain for the reason it blocked.
A blocked toilet in one of Littlehampton's converted blocks, guesthouses or business premises can put a whole floor out of use. We clear the pan or soil stack and repair the cistern so it works the night it's needed.
Taps here get worn by hard water, valves seized by age and joints disturbed by renovators in roughly equal measure. We find the leak, isolate it, and repair or replace the part properly instead of wrapping tape round trouble.
Who We Are
We cover Littlehampton with a round-the-clock emergency plumbing service for burst pipes, leaks, blockages and other problems that cannot wait. When you contact us, we can talk you through turning off the water and determine how urgently the problem needs to be seen.
Every repair is checked under pressure or run-tested before we leave. Should the plumber identify work beyond the original emergency, it will be explained and agreed before anything additional is undertaken.
Common Call-Outs
The list below reflects what we are most often called about. Any of it justifies a telephone call, and some of it should not be left until the morning.
Turn off the water at the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink, and open the cold taps to empty the pipes. If it is hot water that is leaking, switch the boiler or immersion heater off too.
Keep away from sockets and appliances that water has reached, and switch off at the fuse box only if it is safe. Put buckets under drips, move anything valuable, and if a ceiling is bulging, do not stand beneath it.
If you can smell gas, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999. Please call us once you are safely outside.

Leak Detection
Near the Arun, damp that looks like water coming in from outside is often a slow leak from a pipe buried in a solid floor. We trace it back along the run with moisture readings and careful checking, so the repair fixes what is actually leaking rather than guessing at it.

Tell us what has happened. The call is taken by a plumber, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You are given the call-out rate and a realistic arrival window before a plumber travels to the property.
The water is isolated safely, after which the system is checked to establish the actual cause.
Most call-outs are finished the same visit. Where a part is needed, the property is left safe and a return arranged.
Snap the leak, the stopcock or the overflowing toilet when you ring, and the plumber sets off carrying the right parts.
CALL 01273 086899Everything Just Stopped
Two very different jobs hide behind the same dry tap. How much of the house has stopped decides which one you are looking at.
About Our No Water Work → 01273 086899Two things usually do this overnight. Either the supplier's main failed or was shut for repairs while you slept, or a pipe froze or burst somewhere on your supply. We check with neighbours and at the stopcock to establish which before anything is opened up.
Extensions are plumbed all sorts of ways: a tee off an existing run, a long narrow pipe, or a branch picked up inside the old wall. The junction is nearly always the weak point. Finding where new pipe meets old is most of the diagnosis; the rest is a proper joint and the right size of pipe.
One dry outlet with the rest running means that branch has closed rather than failed. An isolation valve knocked shut, a cartridge jammed with scale, or debris lodged in the tap after the main was off stops everything at that point. We check the valve, then work along the branch.
A cold cylinder is telling you the heat is not arriving. A failed immersion heater, a stuck motorised valve or an airlock in the pipework are the usual causes. We check the plumbing side properly, and tell you straight away if a Gas Safe registered engineer is needed for the boiler.
That knock is water hammer, and it answers to two things only: a valve closing too quickly, or pipe that is free to move. So we check the taps and float valves, then find the unclipped run. Long kitchen and loft runs are the usual reason one sits loose.
Outside taps on the coast take a beating, and frost works past tired washers and joints. Once water finds a path behind the brickwork, damp shows up inside, typically after a cold spell. We isolate the outside tap on its own and replace whatever has stopped sealing.
Most jobs end with the water back on and the cause dealt with the same visit. If a repair needs parts we're not carrying, you get a watertight system and the rest of the house working.
Why Choose Us

Our qualified plumbers bring expertise, safety and precision to every single call.
We respect your time and budget, delivering results without delays or excuses.
Transparent, upfront quotes, with no hidden fees and no surprise out-of-hours mark-ups.
Evenings, weekends and bank holidays. The phone is answered when the leak actually happens.
Pipe, fittings, valves and drain rods carried as standard, so most emergency repairs are completed on the first visit.
Who we help
Three groups account for most of our Littlehampton work. Whichever fits, the number and the service are unchanged.
Domestic emergency attendance for burst pipes, leaks that keep coming back, blocked toilets and loss of water.
Rental repairs for landlords and letting agents, documented in a form that can be passed on to a tenant directly.
Commercial call-outs for shops, offices and units, covering washrooms, kitchens and drainage.
How It Works
Nights, weekends and bank holidays are covered on the same basis as a weekday afternoon. A burst pipe does not stop flooding simply because of the time on the clock.
Rates do differ outside normal hours, and we confirm that during the telephone call rather than leaving it to appear on the invoice. Either way, the figure is known before anyone travels.
Also covered
The engineers who cover Littlehampton work the whole coastal strip, so the same call brings us out to Bognor Regis, Worthing, Lancing and across to Chichester. Wherever you are along this run, the number and the approach don't change.
FAQ
Feel free to contact us for more information
Yes. We run a 24 hour rota that covers evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Call and you get a real arrival window before anyone sets off, not a vague promise.
We attend occupied lets regularly. Give us the access details and a contact number for your guests and we'll liaise with them on arrival, stop the leak, and report back to you with what we found and what it needs. If a full repair can't happen during the stay we'll restore what can safely be restored, so a blocked toilet or a dry shower doesn't cost you a booking review.
Sometimes both. Rainwater from roofs and yards often joins the same drain as your waste, and a partial blockage that copes in dry weather overflows the moment a storm adds to it. Homes near the Arun and on the seafront see this more than most because there's simply more water in the ground. We trace the run to find where it is restricted, clear it, and tell you plainly if the problem is in the public sewer, which is the water company's responsibility, rather than your own drain.
Commercial plumbing is part of what we do, and the light industrial units along the river are inside our normal cover. Burst supply pipes, blocked washroom drains, failed toilets and leaking water heaters are all fair game for an emergency visit. Out of hours we'll prioritise stopping the water and getting essential facilities back in use, then agree any larger repair for normal working hours if that suits the business better.
